What's happening: On Friday night at 6pm the gallery is hosting a Dia De Los Muertos Celebration and education event led by Macedonio Arteaga Jr of Teatro Izcalli. We will learn about the stories and history of Dia De Los Muertos, there will be dancers and music, and all are welcome.

Macedonio leads Izcalli’s programming, strategic goals, and training. With over 20 years experience working with youth development programs and with the San Diego Unified School District, Macedonio is a well recognized trainer of Restorative Circles, Culturally Relevant Instructional Strategies, Cultural Proficiency, and the Joven Noble curriculum. Macedonio is also a co-founder, writer, teacher and Artistic Director of Teatro Izcalli. Macedonio has spoken at hundreds of schools and conferences as a motivational speaker and has received numerous community awards and recognitions.
