“Search for beauty every day and you will find it…” That’s Kathryn Anthony’s motto. Whether she is traveling across the globe or right in her own hometown, that challenge is easily met—especially right here in La Jolla.

Join us on Thurs July 28, 2022 at 5:00 pm at BFree Studio for an artist’s talk and digital photography show on “Luminous La Jolla…and Other Lovable Landscapes.” Longtime La Jolla resident, photographer, and architecture professor Kathryn Anthony will showcase her photos featuring several recently published in La Jolla Light.
She’ll also share favorites from worldwide travels. She’s discovered hidden treasures found in traveling off-season, stopping to soak in scenery where she was sometimes the only visitor in sight.
The pause brought on by the pandemic offered artists a chance to further develop their creative talents. As an award-winning architectural educator for over 40 years, author of 5 books and over 100 scholarly publications, and while continuing to teach and write full-time, the last few years gave Kathryn an opportunity to hone her photography skills while enjoying daily walks here in La Jolla.
July 28 is a special date. Kathryn’s father, Harry A. Anthony, who moved the family to La Jolla over 50 years ago, would have been exactly 100 years old on this date. This show is held in his honor to commemorate his centennial.
Spots are limited, so please RSVP ahead of time.
